Cookie Policy
Effective May 10, 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our website, what they do, and how you can control them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website saves on your device to remember information between visits. We use only a small number of cookies, and we keep the list short on purpose.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
dtt_news_v1 | Functional | Prevents the newsletter popup from showing again after you close or subscribe. | 7 days after dismiss · 365 days after subscribe |
dtt_admin | Strictly necessary | Signed session cookie for the /admin dashboard. Set only after a successful admin login. | 7 days |
_ga, _ga_* | Analytics | Used by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish unique users and sessions. Only set when GA4 is enabled. | Up to 2 years |
What we don't use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No third-party social-network trackers.
- No fingerprinting beyond what GA4 collects by default with IP anonymization on.
Controlling cookies
You can control cookies in three ways:
- In your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in your browser preferences.
- Browser-level Do Not Track. We respect Do Not Track signals where possible. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymization regardless.
- Opt out of Google Analytics using the official add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Effect of disabling
Disabling the functional cookies will not break the site, but the newsletter popup may reappear on each visit. Disabling the session cookie will prevent access to the protected admin area (only relevant if you are an administrator).
Changes
We will update this page if we add or remove cookies. The effective date above will reflect any change.
